Chili Cook Off Rules

                      Kiwanis Club of Hilton Head Island

        27th  Annual Chili Cook-Off  -  October 8, 2011                                                  

Open Chili competition
  • Participants agree to provide at least 30 pounds (4-5 gallons) of their chili and any related condiments
  • Entry fee has been waived once again for all competitors
  • Turn in chili at judges table for “Celebrity Judging”. This will take place at 11:30 a.m.
  • We will try to contact late cooks, but it is your responsibility to turn in chili on time
  • Chili will be judged using cup provided.
  • Participants agree that they will not distribute alcoholic beverages to the public.
  • The Kiwanis Club will provide beer, wine and soft drink coupons to each entrant
  • The Kiwanis Club will provide:
  •  serving table
  •  2 chairs
  •  paper napkins, serving cups, and spoons.
  • Trophies for best chili in Celebrity judging , popular vote & showmanship
  • Please bring a fire extinguisher if you plan to use an open flame heat source and a hand washing station
